It's always important to make sure that your computer is locked if you step away from your desk. There are a few ways to do this:


Standard


Click the "Start" button. Click the "User Account" icon in the lower left-hand corner and select "Lock". (You can also use this method to sign out of your profile.)


Quick Method


Press "Alt", "Ctrl" and "Delete" at the same time. This will bring up a blue screen that will give you the following options:


  • Lock
  • Switch User
  • Sign Out
  • Change Password
  • Task Manager
  • Cancel


It will always default on "Lock", so if you hit the "Enter" key immediately after opening the blue screen, you will lock your PC. (NOTE: If you do NOT select an option or hit "Enter", your computer will NOT lock.)



Fastest Method


Hit the "Windows" key and "L" key at the same time to lock your computer.
