When you create an event in your Outlook calendar, you have five options to label your status:

    - Free

    - Busy

    - Out of Office

    - Tentative

    - Working Elsewhere

When you select "Busy", "Out of Office" or "Tentative", it will show a conflict if someone tries to schedule a meeting with you during that time. But when you select "Working Elsewhere", your Outlook calendar will show people that you are telecommuting but also allow you and others to schedule meetings without conflict on your calendar.
